It was great to see all those of you who made it to the chapel last night to see Jim Hosking screening his latest insanity Ebony & Ivory. How are we ever going to top those episodes of Tropical Cop Tales?

We’ve got something a little special for you next month.

November sees the release of LYNCHIAN: THE SPELL OF DAVID LYNCH, the new book by ESP-FC co-conspirator John Higgs. Our next gathering on Friday 7 November will launch the book and celebrate the great man.

We have specially curated a collection of Lynch’s rarities and oddities, as we intend to show you things that you won’t have seen before. Then we will end the night with a screening of the already legendary episode 8 of Twin Peaks: The Return - surely the most audacious piece of art of the twenty-first century?

As well as all this, John will talk and sign, and you will have the opportunity to get your hands on the first copies of the book available anywhere, ahead of release.

The book is about the impact Lynch’s work has on us - why it effects us in the way that it does, why nobody else’s work has the same effect, and what state of mind Lynch is communicating to us. Some mysteries are not meant to be solved, of course, but we can get a deeper appreciation of the spell they cast on us. David Lynch is something of a patron saint to the ESP-FC, so this will be a unique night honouring him.
